Orders for evening meal were taken shortly afterwards (menu P1)
I selected the Salmon and vegetable bake followed by cheese and biscuits
The cheese and biscuits were no longer available, so I opted for the Strawberries and cream dessert, but was also presented with a Teabread cake slice
The meals were served between 17:00 and 17:30
Shortly after leaving Preston at 18:40, 10 minutes late, there was another round of drinks
The sandwich on offer was Roast Ham and Piccalilli
On passing Carlisle, still 10 minutes late, there was another rounds of drinks

In the Lounge Car I ordered Tomato Soup, Glenfiddich, and tea, but was advised there was no tea due to no water
I also asked for ice for my whisky, but was advised they had none
Breakfast turned out to indeed be the hot option, which was served at 04:45 shortly after leaving Preston, consisting of an all day breakfast panini, strawberry yoghurt, a bag of apple slices, orange juice, and a cup of tea
The locomotive was 67004, replaced by 90020 from Edinburgh Waverley
